Hello, I have sent this to QB-ANNOUNCE a couple
times, but for some reason, I have never seen it listed.
Anyhow, Quiz Bowl at USF (<a href=http://ctr.usf.edu/quizbowl target=new>http://ctr.usf.edu/quizbowl</a>) is
planning to host its second annual Spring Break Sun 'n Fun
Quiz-in on March 17, 2001 at our beautiful Tampa campus
(format, etc. TBD).
Planned improvements for this
year include more experienced moderators, better and
more timely statistics, professionally produced (i.e.,
not hand written on a napkin) receipts, divisional
play, and provision of lunch in the registration
cost.
So, with a year of experience under our belts, and
being one of the few tournaments offered south of
Atlanta, I hope to see an even bigger turnout than last
year's inaugural 12 teams.
Northern programs:
it's a great place to spend spring break, with Busch
Gardens next door, Gulf beaches about 30 minutes away,
and Disney/ Universal/ Sea World about an hour away.
Also, there is usually a dearth of QB activity around
that time anyway. So, put us on your calendar. It
should be fun.
