Pop Culture Rare Entries Results

Well, umm, hmm. Okay.

There was a tie for
first place, as both K. Michael Wilcox (AKA me) and Joe
Wright finished with scores of one, and Craig Barker was
right behind us with a score of two.

Only one
answer appeared on more than one entry, and that was
"Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" for the Marx
Brother(s) movie. [I had "A Night in Casablanca", myself.]
For Joe, this answer was the one not counted, but
Craig's thrown-out answer was used on the next question,
about the soap actors. [Sorry, Craig, but you're not
going to convince me that Sean is a more unusual name
than Jude.]

A few other quick
highlights:

The closest grouping of answers came with the Richard
Harris question, where all answers came from a period
between 1970 and 1976.
Otherwise, most answers were
marked by divergence. The "Scream" victims were all from
different films. [One more entrant and that wouldn't have
been possible.] The "X-Files" shared titles were with
different series: "Deep Space Nine", "Highlander" and "The
New Avengers". The Weird Al songs were from different
albums, as were the Beatles covers. And the Best Song
winners were all from different decades.
Since I
mentioned discounting Craig's answer, I should mention that
my answer in the soap category was Drake Hogestyn as
John Black (Days of Our Lives), and Joe's was Finola
Hughes as Anna Devane (General Hospital). Incidentally,
when I mentioned before that "Sunset Beach" had a
wonderful answer (which no one used), I was referring to
the character of Tim, who was played by an actor
named Dax.

K. M. Wilcox
