My two cents:
I was formerly of the
opinion that flag questions, highway questions, and the
like are "lame", boring, and trivial. Guess I'm wrong.
I would, however, implore question writers, aside
from keeping these questions in reasonable quantity,
to focus on the demonstrated relevancy of said
flags, etc. If Macedonia's flag is relevant, then sure,
write a question about it, but don't just describe the
flag and ask for the country. If it's truly relevant,
a more interesting, informative, and
knowledge-rewarding clue would center around the conflict, not solely
the color pattern. The same goes for highways; if
there's something interesting and relevant about a
highway, ask about *that*, not just "given cities name the
highway". Doing this will both eliminate questions about
the completely trivial and make packets more
interesting. Again, just my two cents.
