Re: Stuff That Needs To Be Said

People! People! Now I know it's rare that I speak
up with anything more than tournament announcements
and the occasional wiseass commentary, but just
reading these messages from the past few days over a bowl
of Grape Nuts and can of ginger ale got me to
thinking. Oh yeah, you're gonna hear about it.

When
I was a freshman, the first message I ever sent out
was about how I thought the circuit was a mean place
with a lot of people who had to get a grip. It had a
whole "can't we all just get along" spin, and I got
absolutely railed on. Somebody said if I wanted such a happy
place, I should take up knitting. Why am I telling you
this, other than because I like telling pointless
stories?

When you go to a national tournament, or host one
because your team really kinda sucks, you see that
there's jerkoffs on the circuit, and there's nice people
on the circuit. Sure, it'd be great if there was an
equal number of both, but let's be honest here... My
point is, if you think someone's a prick, either ignore
their existence or mock them amongst your friends. It
works!

So leave Andy alone, unless he ran over somebody's
dog or something. While we don't see much of him much
up here in the Northeast and I don't know him
personally, I'd imagine he has both redeeming qualities and
those not quite so warm and fuzzy. If I'm wrong, feel
free to let me know... :)

Look at his message
in the proper context. He wrote that, "This circuit
needs an emotional enema." Think about that. Think of
the people you know on this circuit, and imagine them
getting an enema. That should calm you down.

hope not...)
