Good post, but I
will point out that this sentence doesn't do anything
for me. I've met Christians, Jews, Muslims, Pagans,
Buddhists, Hindus, UU's, atheists, agnostics, and pretty
much everything else who are good people with good
ethical and moral standards. I've also met people from
all those groups who are real jerks. One's religion
has very little correlation with whether one is a
good person.
I agree with you Doug, however I
wasn't implying that he was good only because he is a
Christian. If he were a Sikh, I would still say that he was
a good person with high standing morals because he
is. It just so happens that he is a Christian, thus I
said that he was a good Christian. He's a nice guy,
and that was my point and all.
