Results: Big Red Royal Rumble

(NOTE: I sent the same exact message to the QB
mailing list. I'm sure that it will be sent out
relatively soon.)

Seven teams from six schools
competed in the Big Red Royal Rumble at Cornell University
this Saturday.

The team results were as
follows:

1. Maryland (6-0, 3-0 upper bracket)
2. Penn
(5-1, 2-1)
3. Rutgers (4-2, 1-2)
4. Dartmouth
(2-4, beat Cornell A head-to-head, 0-3)

5.
Cornell A (2-4, 2-0 lower bracket)
6. Syracuse (1-5,
1-1)
7. Cornell B (1-5, 0-2)

Congratulations to
the University of Maryland (Shaun, Maureen, Alvin and
Andy). For their fine performance, they took home
Cornell University mugs. Second place went to Penn, who
won bottle opener key chains for their
efforts.

We deemed Steve ineligible to receive prizes, so
this meant that Dave Hayes of Rutgers took home a
larger Cornell mug for being the top scorer. Ironically,
this also resulted in Andy Wang being the second
leading scorer, and he was given a Cornell shot
glass.

We would like to thank UC-Berkeley for allowing us
to swap packets, Evelyn Browne, Andrew Hutchings,
and Anwar Kashem for moderating, and most importantly
to the players for making this tournament happen. We
hope to see you at Cornell tournaments in the
future.
