Did anyone get to listen to Sec. James Baker's
speech/rant just a while back. The man all *BUT* threatened
to call out the Texas Rangers and go shoot some
pinkos. Well, or at least he announced on-the-record that
the Bush campaign is now playing hardball, and is
prepared to challenge the numbers wherever else in the
country it can (i.e. Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa). He also
made an impassionate yet entirely silly point about
how "other countries are now laughing at us." To
which all *I* have to say is, well, "he who laughs
last, laughs best...", and serves us right for making
sure EVERY election, anywhere in the non-First World,
in the last fifty years, went JUST the way we wanted
it to go...
