DISCLAIMER: I am nowhere near a lawyer, I just
happen to be taking a computer law class that deals with
intellectual property . That said:
Copywrite must
only be registered when the lawsuit is brought, not to
protect the work from infringement before that point.
Placing a copywrite notice is not even necessary,
however, the notice makes any infringement willful and
greatly increases the amount that can be recovered.
my two cents:
I don't think a lawsuit at this
point is worth it, the community is small enough that
paying to take a case to court is probably less
effective than word of mouth.
