One thing which leaps to mind -- and I'm possibly
very wrong on this, since I'm not a lawyer by any
means -- but doesn't copyright law require the entity
holding the copyright to actively defend it? In other
words, are the entities whose works are plagiarized
required to go after QU or lose their copyright? If so, we
should get cracking NOW.
Also, while we're at it,
we've all seen the Yahoo! handle cbeall_2000 floating
around in this club. If this name does in fact belong to
Chip Beall, and he's aware of this, he should own up
NOW. I mean, just off the top of my head I can think
of three lawyer veterans of GW's quiz bowl team. All
told the circuit probably has dozens.
