NAQT Cdn. Sectionals reminder

This is a reminder that UWO is hosting the NAQT
Canadian Sectionals on February 10. The original
announcement is below, but I forgot to mention that we'll be
selling the packets after the tournament (we need the
money, ha ha!).

So far the only two teams who
have expressed any real interest are University of
Toronto and University of Rochester. University of
Michigan apparently doesn't know if they are coming yet,
and I haven't heard from University of Waterloo,
Queen's University, or McMaster University although they
would probably be coming as well.

Whoever wants
to come, please let me know as soon as possible,
just to make things easier for us!

Here is
a slightly edited version of the original
announcement:

The University of Western Ontario will be hosting the
NAQT Canadian Sectionals on Saturday, February 10,
2001.

Fees for the tournament will be as follows, in
Canadian dollars:

$100 basic fee
$90 for a
second team ($80 for a third team, etc)
-$10 for a
working buzzer system
-$10 for an experienced
moderator
-$10 for a working clock
-$20 for
Canadian teams
Minimum $50 per team.

If you
want to attend this tournament, please send the
following information to ambishop_at_... or
grenfell__at_...:

University:
Team Name:
Player 1 (captain):
Player
2:
Player 3:
Player 4:
Alternates:

Division 1 or 2:

Also let us know what and who you
can bring (as in clocks, buzzers,
moderators)

The tournament will be held in University College. An
info meeting will start at 9:00, in Room 204, and
rounds will begin at 9:30.

Maps and directions to
UWO, as well as hotel information and various other
information, can be found
at:

Once we find out how many teams are
coming, we can figure out specifically how the tournament
will be structured, and how we will determine a winner
(but it will be something simple and traditional, I
hope). More info about that will be given when we figure
it out.

And of course, extravagant, expensive
awards* will be given to Division 1 and Division 2
champions.

(*Or, whatever amusing junk we happened to find lying
around)

Thank you!
