Re: A history question for everyone

"Would I have to specify "junior" if I answered
MLK?

J.R."

Well, MLK Sr. has come up often enough. And MLK III is
pretty well known (as an aside, I had breakfast with him
last month - along with about 250 other people at the
same time - a great speaker, highly recommend).
Whether or not to prompt depends on the tournament
editors' subjective evaluation of the difficulty range
trying to be achieved, but I would generally lean
strongly now toward prompting on the Kings as I would
prompting on the Roosevelts, Adams, and Bushes.

The
post that began this thread focused on a specific
question at a specific tournament. In every such case, it
would be most helpful to see the entire actual question
posted; if only to focus the debate on the objective
presentation of clues instead of the subjectivity of recall of
tournament happenings. Perhaps the text of the question
includes clues that would either eliminate or promote some
of the various answers discussed. But without the
full text, can anyone who wasn't there validly comment
on the result?

Tom

All IMO of course.
