Re: PB10 Comments

Speaking on behalf of the guys from University of
South Florida, we thoroughly enjoyed our inaugural Penn
Bowl experience, and the team is already talking about
a repeat trip next year. Penn is a beautiful
campus; we were all quite smitten.

We were happy
to go 9-6 or 8-7 (can't remember) in arguably the
toughest bracket (with Michigan A and Penn State A), but
we had one complaint: we were the victim of faulty
or intermittent buzzer systems THREE TIMES, all
three of which were losses for us. I don't think we
were going to beat Michigan A anyway, but we had close
losses against Williams and (I think) Pitt B in which
our buzzers weren't functioning.

Certainly
there must have been some spare systems that could have
replaced the bad...as you can imagine, this was very
frustrating. No knock on Delaware and MIT, but I think you
should give your buzzer discounts back to Samer, or
better yet, mail directly to USF Quiz Bowl, 4202 E.
Fowler Ave., Tampa FL... :-)
