NAQT Mid-Atl Thank Yous/Announcements

Hi again --

This tournament could not have
been pulled off today without the help of
MANY
MANY good people. So I hope I cover everyone; if not,
I apologize.
Here goes:

-The moderators
and scorekeepers: Tim Young, Jon So, Bill Tressler,
Dennis
Loo, Charbel Barakat, Jason Dettelbach, Rob
Hershey, John Nam, Rick Grimes,
Dwight Kidder, Kevin
Philpy, Mike DeSantis, Brick Barrientos, Kim Nies,

Cyndi Pruss, Phil Castagna, Fong Hsu, Matt Kiefer,
Jason Arvey, Arthur
Fleming, Lee Aarons, Charles
Rodowsky, Farhan Adil, Jason Schwalm, and my
brother
Alex. All of you did excellent jobs, as the tournament
rounds
themselves ran perfectly on time. Brian U,
get better soon; Doug O, may
your car get better
soon.

-Lee for going to the JHU Bookstore and getting the
prizes.
-Charbel and Dave Pai for securing the donuts, juice, and
folders for this
morning. Also Charbel for taking the
Swarthmore folks back to the bus
station after the
tournament.
-Fong for ordering the pizzas for the moderators, and
then taking Kevin and
driving to pick them
up.
-Michelle Cantave and Amanda Owens, our Statmeistresses,
for undertaking one
of the most difficult
tournament jobs and performing well at it.
-Mike for
handling registration, and Amanda again for tackling
invoices and
the restaurant lists. (she deserves
double thanks for the work she did at
this
tournament)
-Jon for keeping the Division I bracket well under
control.
-Dwight for helping me with the moderators' meeting, and
for being our
general NAQT "Tommy Hagen" for the
day.
-NAQT in general for providing plenty of clocks. (Now
if we had only had
enough working buzzers...
:P)

Now for a couple announcements:
-Virginia and
Princeton both left buzzers (I believe Virginia may have
taken
Pitt's buzzer by mistake). Princeton, do you
want us to keep you buzzer or
toss it out (is it
beyond repair)?
-Chris from Virginia, Dave from
Rutgers, Peter and Ascension from Swarthmore
are all
owed prizes, which are in my possession. Please
contact me if you
want them anytime soon...
-Shaun
Hayeslip was looking for his cell phone, so if someone
stumbled upon
it, he'd like to know...

Well, it
was tiring but fun. Hope the other Sectionals went
well...
