Re: NAQT SCT Southeast Quick Results

My bad on the error in reporting the undergrad
winner. I was a bit thrown off that we had playoffs to
decide second- and third-place trophies.

I know
it's NAQT policy to break first-place ties via a
playoff game rather than using any sort of tiebreaker
(and I have no problem with that). However, going with
playoffs to break ties beyond that to determine second and
third place seemed a bit silly. Then again, it was a
long day, especially for Division II, so extending
things didn't necessarily sit well.

As for
running 17 rounds in almost 12 hours, sure it should run
quicker than that. We didn't actually start rounds until
closer to 10:30 and the final round finished (not
counting awards ceremonies) about 9:30-ish. So it was
about 11 hours from the start of the first round to the
last question of the last round -- if you want to get
really technical.
