I will briefly echo Jason's sentiment. We here at
WashU knew, when first considering the ICT bid, that
our program is in no way large enough to both field a
potential D1 team as well as staff the tournament. Plus, we
were asked to commit a certain number of volunteers;
said number does not leave enough extra people in our
organization to play as well.
We entered a D2 team at
Iowa because we committed a certain number of
volunteers before we knew anything of the freshman class'
new members. Therefore, they were not in the initial
volunteer count, and thus dispensible to play.
The
rest of our organization will serve in some capacity
to facilitate the running of the ICT. Everyone here
is working to make this the best ICT yet,
hopefully.
