Re: Why Goss is wrong

The world has ended, I agree with Andy
Goss.

Thoughts on various statements:

"if NAQT wants to
be legitamate"
Um, where have you been. They are
the national championship, otherwise there wouldn't
be a need to waitlist teams

I didn't ask for your suggestion nor do
I appreciate it. Mind your own business, and be
thankful you were pulled through the Southeast by an
ex-Maryland player.

Keep your personal junk off of
here. Yes, Duke is better because they have an
experienced player on their team, I didn't hear you make the
snide comments to Michigan

It wouldn't kill you
to go to St.Louis, help someone out, and remember
it's only a game

Just as money prevents
teams from going to easier sectionals it also prevents
them from going to more competitive sectionals from
which more bids will likely be awarded. Some teams must
go to the closest/cheapest no matter
what.

Win loss is useless to compare across regions. Field
strength aside, tournament format may mean that you play
the best teams more times than the others and that
isn't true in all regions. A team may have four losses,
those four losses could come from four other
teams, however, they could also come from two other teams, where
those two teams played three games against each other
and the team with four losses won one of those games.

The point of this longwinded example: The low
validity of win loss among regions.

Do some
disagree that BGSU was helped by their IFT
performance?
I'm sure they do

Do I particularly
care?
No, we are a reasonably poor, all undergrad team who
went to the only tournaments we could afford, played
our best, NAQT decided we deserved a bid.
We are
glad. See (most of you) in
april.
