This reminds me of the rancor that usually
surrounds NCAA tournament selection time. Someone always
deserves to get in and doesn't. Unless all 300 or so Div.
IA teams play every other, you never really know
what everyone's relative strength is.
It's the
same with NAQT. They had to decide on some arbitrary
means of selection. I'm sure they did not sequester
themselves in a room and try to decide how to exclude
Maryland. It just happened that way. I think you can be
defensive, hurt, even angry, but the ad hominem attacks do
not reflect well on yourself or your
school.
Also, I bet at least a couple teams will drop out,
perhaps putting you within reach of getting in. So, don't
burn your bridges too soon.
