Power has been restored to one of the hotels, and
to the Colvard Student Union. Several of the teams
are already here, with more assumed to be on the way.
The tournament is a go. It will occur as
scheduled.
There may have been as many as three tornadoes in the
area, with one reported to have touched down on the
South edge of the campus. Although there were a few
hairy moments, I know of no fatalities here. Still, TV
and radio coverage has not yet been restored, and we
have no idea of the full story.
But the parts
essential to the tournament are intact. Teams already here
who read this are asked to arrive earlier then the
11:00 registration time. Due to the total suspension of
all campus activities this afternoon, we are, to say
the least, behind on the set-up.
