On Saturday, April 14th, the George Washington
University in Washington, DC will host and run the National
Academic Quiz Tournaments Championship for the combined
regions of the state of Maryland and the district of
Columbia.
This tournament is a direct qualifier for NAQT High
School Nationals on June 9-10, 2001 in at the University
of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Results from this
tournament will also be taken into consideration for
invitations to Partnership for Academic Competition
Excellence Nationals on June 16-17, 2001 at Bowling Green
State University.
This tournament will be
conducted using untimed NAQT questions and rules, and will
provide a rigorous schedule to determine standings among
what promises to be a highly competitive
field.
