I have no idea exactly how they would figure the
amount won in the American version, but as one who
became addicted to the British version while in London
this fall, I would highly recommend it. I'm sure all
the information on how the show is played is on the
NBC website, but suffice to say it's an interesting
show to watch and the money depends on how good your
teammates are. While it is possible to win 10,000 pounds on
the British show, doing so is nearly impossible, and
the pot is normally only 2,000-3,000 pounds at best.
I would imagine American stakes to be higher with a
max probably being $100,000 or above. Now if they
would only put tryouts closer to either Indiana or New
Hampshire...
As far as the experience, ask British NAQT guru Rob
Linham who did an excellent job on the show until
getting completely shafted near the end.
