IIRC, the match where they played the remedial
class was where Dennis was somehow demoted to the
remedial class once he got kicked out of the IHP.
He then challenged the IHP team to a challenge match
about the Saratoga campaign which the teacher agrees to
do as he did his Masters' thesis on that
campaign.
Before the match the IHP kids make up a rule saying no
player can answer more than three questions, as they
fear Dennis will dominate the match against the IHP
kids. To their surprise, Dennis agrees.
Of
course the IHP kids won.
Class Act was generally
a decent movie but their treatment of quiz bowl I
found insulting. And I don't find many things
insulting.
