The first time I
did the media guide, I saved images primarily from
USA Today and CNNSI. I asked for permission from both
organizations to use them and was denied based on the fact that
the universities own the logos and license them.
Unless you have permission to include the logos, I
believe that you're implying a link between the
university and the club - one which may exist an a minimal
level or, in the case of some clubs, is nonexistent.
You're also probably violating copyright law, an issue
that numerous people in this group have been quite
passionate about defending.
I'm not a lawyer and I
hate to be a party pooper, but principle if nothing
else would seem to favor removing them.
