I was captain of the Friendship, Etc. team at
Trashionals, and I agree that the NASL system is not an
especially good way to determine who makes the top bracket
of the playoffs. In this year's prime case, the
Shelby Foote Soldiers were left out of the top bracket
and proceeded to demolish their opponents, while a
team that was not quite so good - namely, mine - went
on to lose often in the top bracket.
Other
than that, and the unofficial "awards ceremony" (which
I believe went over the heads of approximately 75%
of the people there), Trashionals was great fun, and
I look forward to returning and my next shot at the
Trash World Heavyweight Championship.
