Howdy again,
For anyone who might care, I
am graduating from Pitt this month and will thus be
relenquishing the Presidential/Lord Protector duties I have
held with Pitt Quiz Bowl for 3 years. Jon Misurda (of
MyStats fame) will be assuming my administrative powers
after the ICT.
I'm not going away, though, and
I'm not going very far, either. I will be enrolling
in the PhD Chemical Engineering program at Carnegie
Mellon, where I will also serve as Director of
Tournaments.
To that end, then, CMU intends to host an
intercollegiate tournament next fall (tentatively titled
"E-BOWL-A"), most likely on October 6 (assuming nobody's
already claimed that date in the region). Questions will
be written by yours truly and will be of NAQT SCT
difficulty and style. Registrations will not be taken until
August 24, but anyone interested is encouraged to let me
know.
