Wow, for those of you working with shirts and
ties, no one ever told you that you have to take the
stays out before dry cleaning? If you don't they can
melt and screw up the shirt. At least this was once
standard "dress for success" advice--maybe I'm already a
generation behind. You could also get this question by
noting that the placket and yoke are a different part of
the shirt (if it even has a placket). This isn't
intended to knock James, my point still stands, I think
this is a generation gap issue.
