Hello all,
I wanted to let interested
parties know that there will be a Chicago Open this
summer and the date looks to be set for the weekend of
July 28th on the campus of the University of Chicago.
This will be a packet submission tournament like last
year, with details to come in a week or so (though a
packet of 26-25 following ACF distribution with the
inclusion of trash will be the basic outline for those who
want to get started). This event will be edited by me,
Subash Maddipoti, and there will not be an accompanying
singles tournament as i don't think it's worth the
effort. If anyone is interested in tying on a singles
tournament of their own, let me know, but I will not write
for one in any way.
Like last year, I hope to
have mirrors. GW has already agreed to mirror it on
the east coast, so I am looking for a west coast
mirror at this time and possibly a Boston one as well.

Look for a detailed announcement about packet
guidelines in a week or so, and I hope to see many of you
this summer. Til then I'm going to make like Vishnu's
favorite magazine and Jet.
