I'll chime in with my two cents congratulating
Kevin Olmstead on winning WWTBAM! Very well done on
some tough questions spanning all genres.
When
asked what he was going to do with the money, one of
the things Kevin mentioned was that he was going to
set up scholarships. I was wondering, with the piles
of money being won by quizbowlers recently, if
anyone else has done similar things?
It seems
like a generous and kind of logical thing to do - to
give back a little to the school(s) that helped you
get the money. I don't know what Kevin's plans are,
but I'm curious if the scholarship would be
specifically for quiz bowl, or if anyone else has endowed a
quiz bowl club.
