"In conclusion: Don't assume that other teams' internal decisions are designed to bend the rules, or that your own team has a divine right to succeed, and that there must have been foul play afoot if it did not. If you wanted to go to ICT, you should have played better at sectionals." First, I don't think Shaun's point was that Pitt took away a spot from anybody, it's that switching in midstream is a bit unfair, in the rules or not. To use a baseball analogy, this is like Pedro Martinez pitching for the Red Sox for all year and leading them to the World Series but gets moved to the Triple A world series with Pawtucket to attempt to win the Triple A world series because the Red Sox organization thinks they have a better chance at the Triple A world series. Second, What is with this "divine right" thing? No one at my school thinks we have a "divine right" to receive anything. I find it insulting that anyone would think players at my school would think we deserve something we didn't earn. No one is saying the D2 win for Pitt is wrong or something, so calm down and don't so quick to jump to conclusions and insult my whole team, most of whom are not involved in this discussion.
