Re: Ivy League Schools

I don't have a whole lot to share on this topic,
other than to note a couple of things.

First, in
the ye olden days of BU's team (late '80s), one of
the strongest teams in the area, if not nationally
(for what was done nationally) was Brown. By the time
the BU team was truly organized (1991), Brown's team
had gone the way of the dodo.

Second, during
that 1991-92 year, we went over to Harvard to
scrimmage, and one of the early BU folks said we'd whip up
on their team, as we had at the end of the previous
year. Of course, over the summer, a recent Princeton
grad named Jordan Katine showed up in the Yard, and
you know the rest.

Having seen the BU team
last a good decade, I do think that it's the people
rather than the overall academic rep of the school that
makes the team. There were times I figured the BU team
was done for, but key recruits have kept things
going. It'd be nice to get some of you top undergrads to
come here for grad school, though!
