To Chris: Regarding the fact that Chip has a
regional in Louisiana "is in no way connected to the state
organization" is true in that LAAC does not sanction that
regional. However, there is an LAAC rep on Chip's list of
crack house staff. What that means is completely up to
interpretation.
I don't know exactly why even a tournament like
Lake Forest would be met so defensively by the top
brass in TX or LA qb. Knowing the few people in the
LAAC brass as I do (which isn't many), I don't think
it would be strictly because of disdain for the
orgs. The fact is that they would tout PAC because of
the fact they have to select a "state champion," so
they feel that National is more important than the
rest. Why they wouldn't encourage other teams to play
at the various nationals, I don't really know.
