Willie and California folk,
Well it's not
that early, at least for us at Berkeley seeing as that
our semester basically ends in a month. Tonight
(Monday, 4/23) are our club elections and additionally we
will be discussing what we will be hosting in the near
future. In addition to this, and I don't mean to jump the
gun, it is extremely likely that University of
California Quiz Bowl will be mirroring the Chicago Open
(subject to deliberation amongst our members) and a
singles tournament in keeping with last year, most likely
the one being put on by Matt Weiner though nothing
has been hammered out yet. Most likely we'd be
shooting for the middle of July as last year and it is
additionally likely that I may be directing. So for those
interested, keep that in mind. With regards to Irvine's
tournament, I don't know if Berkeley can guarantee the same
turn out as last year (2 teams) but there should be a
good core of us still around California that I'm sure
would love to go. So I guess that's it from our end. I
don't know anything about Caltech's plans as of now. I
hope this helps and gives people more or less of a
heads up as to whats happenin' in CA.
