Re: Millionaire UK and Why We Have it Ea

Judith Keppel indeed won the million on a
question about Eleanor of Aquitaine. John Edwards (whose
son, Richard, captained a team we beat on University
Challenge - the father has previously won "Mastermind") won
on the very easy: "If you planted seeds of Quercus
robur (sp?), what would grow?" Trees, corn, flowers or
something...

I think we might have had two 500,000 bottle-outs,
but the one I remember was the cricket pitch
question, which to anyone with half a knowledge of the
subject was very easy.

Strangely, our 125,000 and
250,000 seem much harder than the higher ones, which is
why so many have stalled there.

REgarding the
online game, though I have wiped out the British one
several times over in succession (/boast), I think it is
slightly harder than the ABC online one, if only because
of the sheer randomness of some of the
questions.

Anyway, the big reason you guys have it easy is that you
have real auditions - we have a lottery on a premium
rate phone line to get on, which is why we've had
fewer millionaires as it's an utterly random selection
of the ill-informed masses that get on
:-)
