61 regional winners from across the United States
and its territories competed in the National Science
Bowl on May 6 and 7, 2001. Teams played a round-robin
in eight brackets, with two from each bracket
advancing to double-elimination.
Some of the teams
that made double-elim include Gateway (PA); Booker T.
Washington (OK); Albany (CA); Thomas Jefferson (VA); Lubbock
(TX) and Dorman (SC). From some moderating and
watching the local news, I know that Booker and TJ both
made the top twelve. As for the top five....
