Actually, I'm heading up to Las Vegas later this
month to investigate the plausibility of hosting
TRASHionals 2002 there (It isn't much of a secret...players
have been talking about such a possibility for some
time).
I have meetings scheduled with at least three
hotels on reserving a block of rooms (as well as a
possible banquet hall for an opening ceremony on Friday -
that maybe too expensive). I'm also going to meet with
UNLV on what it would take to reserve rooms for game
play.
Keep in mind that Las Vegas is only one option -
we have two other nominees to host TRASHionals and
more could be on the way. This is more of an
investigation - I'm not writing any checks or making any
guarantees while I'm there.
