Re: Professionalism (mildly tangential)

While we're on recommended reading, "The
Millionaire Next Door" by Drs. Stanley & Danko is a
compelling book. It was recommended to me by an executive at
Home Depot whom I met when I happened to get bumped up
to first class on a flight one time. He was an
African American man who started out in an economically
disadvantaged home, and got his first job at Home Depot selling
hardware. He then worked his way up to dept. manager, store
manager, and eventually regional vice president.

I
always try to pick the brain of successful people like
this, and he told me about the book. It's not just
about making money. It's more about frugal
living.

The first rule is, always live well below your means.
The last rule is, choose your occupation wisely.
You'll have to get the book to find out the other
five.
