National Academic Quiz Tournaments, LLC, is
pleased to announce that next year's High School National
Championship Tournament (HS NCT) will be held on June 8-9,
2002 (Saturday/Sunday) on the campus of the University
of Texas at Austin. The quiz bowl clubs of both
Texas-Austin and the University of Texas A&M will be serving
as tournaments hosts.
Tournament and logistic
details will be announced later, but teams may expect
that the format and overall tournament structure will
be similar to the 2001 event. Complete information
will be available by September 1, 2001.
Teams
may qualify for the 2002 HS NCT by finishing highly
at NAQT qualifying events held throughout the year
or by doing well at their respective state
championships.
