ANNOUNCE - ACF Fall Cleveland Edition

This is the announcement for the ACF Fall
Tournament, Great Lakes Region; to be held on Saturday,
November 3, 2001 on the scenic campus of Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. 
 
Base fee:
$90

Packet Discounts and Penalties:

Sept. 7: -$20
Sept. 21: -$15
Sept. 28:
-$10
Oct. 12: no penalty
Oct. 19: +$15
Oct 24:
+$25

(Note that no packets will be accepted after October 24
unless prior
arrangements have been made with
Kelly.)

Equipment discounts:

Buzzers: -$5 per working
buzzer
Competent officials: -$10 each
Multiple teams: -$5 for B
teams, 
-$10 for each subsequent team

"New"
teams: If your school did not compete at ACF Regionals
or Nationals in the last two years, you will not be
required to write a packet, and will pay a base fee of
$55, with the non-packet discounts still
available.

Minimum fee: $50

Note: There is a $30 fee for any
team that registers but then cancels or
fails to
show for non-emergency reasons without notifying
Allison Manzuk (aam7_at_...) or Brandon Eilertson
(boe2_at_...) via email at least 2 days in
advance.

Packets should be submitted to chief tournament editor,

and questions should be directed to Brandon Eilertson
(boe2_at_...) or Allison Manzuk (aam7_at_...) 


Participation will be open to teams composed of students from
the same college or university. Any exceptions to
this rule must be cleared with Kelly McKenzie. While
there will not be a separate field for younger players,
the top teams composed wholely of first and second
year players will be recognized.

A Standard ACF
format - two untimed ten tossup halves with accompanying
bonuses will be used. The subject distribution should
follow ACF guidelines available at the following
