Re: Relevant Issues and Concerns Pt. 2

<<Just so you know, Matt, there are plenty
of us who are religious and who are Christians who
were also deeply offended by Coulter and Falwell's
statements. "Religious" doesn't equal "fundamentalist" or
"extremist". It's that kind of assumption that is resulting in
Muslim American citizens being harassed as if they were
members of the same extremist sect as Osama bin
Laden.>>

Notice that I said "religion", not "god", in my
comments. Clearly the existence and opinions of people like
Jerry Falwell, who have literally tens of millions of
followers just in their official denominations in this
country, cannot be anything but a black mark on religion.
Logic would dictate, of course, that the truth of the
tenets of faith is wholly unrelated to what Jerry
Falwell says or thinks; while I have opinions on that, it
would be a fallacy for me to base them on what one
individual says, or for you to make assumptions about what
they are based on my comments regarding Falwell and
his church as opposed to the dogma of
such.
