something vaguely related to QB on the message
board:
What do you think is the best setup for a theme-based
tournament? A few options, not at all exclusive:
20
TU/bonus, 5 question "theme" quarters with associated theme
bonii. each tossup-bonus quarter is treated as a new
packet for the purposes of bonus-reading, so bonii are
always on-theme.
40 TU with 10-TU quarters, each
with a different theme. No bonii.
10 TU, 5
TU/associated bonuses, 10 TU, 5 TU/associated
bonuses
Etc...
I'm sure people have run such tournaments before - if
so, which format was used, and did it "work"? Were
questions all in-house/freelance?
