Why? Tournaments
have a responsibility to make sure that teams can pay
their bills, I agree, but I can't see anything that
would require tournaments to include anything that
could possibly be needed - particularly if that
school's accounting department had less stringent
requirements.
If you haven't done so in the future, I'd recommend
emailing the TD ahead of time and stating your specific
needs. This is a responsibility that rests with those
who want the receipt - the responsibility with the
hosts rests with either accomodating those requests or
giving a reason why it can't be done.
