As far as the first problem goes, your solution
works. Is it really all that different from a packet
submitted by novice trash players than one from novice
academic though? As to the second, you could entice first
year teams or teams that haven't been seen too much on
circuit (like MU who did extremely well this weekend at
FOGHAT) with discounts. But, to further answer this
question and address the third, I think for trash (at
least for now) the definition of a junior bird should
be extended to "only undergrads" instead of
first/second year players. This is bc really a trash career
can have no end, so it makes sense to lengthen the
junior bird eligibility. This would exclude potential
bastard teams and civilians, I realize. If you have a way
to include them I'd love to hear it.
