Results: TIT 2001 (Part 1)

On Saturday October 27, 2001, nine teams competed
in the fifteenth annual Terrapin Invitational
Tournament. The day ran smoothly, and everyone got out before
the riots started.

A special thanks to: James
Dinan, Adam Fine (who even brought a TV to watch the
game), Arthur Fleming, Rob Hershey, and Tim Young for
coming out to moderate. Also thanks to Roger Bahn and
Michael Usher for the packet trade.

The final
standings were:
1. Princeton (7-1, 3-0)
2. Swarthmore
(5-3, 2-1; beat Duke on point differential by five
points on their two games played)
3. Duke (6-2,
1-2)
4. Rutgers (4-4, 0-3)
5. George Washington (3-5,
1-1)
6. Maryland House A (2-6, 1-1)
7. Georgetown
(1-7, 1-1)
8. Loyola (0-8)

In addition,
Maryland House team B went 8-0 in the round robin, but was
ineligible for the playoffs. Loyola left after the round
robin, so the top four teams played each other, and the
bottom three played each other in the
playoffs.

More detailed stats will be posted to the MAQT's home
page, and the url to that will be posted here
soon.

Thanks,
