Not knowing Cam or anything about him, I don't
have an opinion as to his guilt or innocence. For now
I'll assume that he's innocent. However, I'm not real
sure about this list memorization makes you
drastically better than ACF. First, if anything, the
questions from the last couple years of official ACF events
are much less likely to reward such list knowledge
than before--or at least would require much deeper
list knowledge--has anyone really memorized all 30
Turgenev novellas? Second, most invitations reward list
knowledge because most question writers suck and write out
of the same reference materials. Third, even at
NAQT, there is at least one writer who still
continuously writes his lit questions out of
Benet's.
