Re: Choices (was Oh, here I go again)

As long as we're on the topic, what about such
fine authors as Arthur Clarke, Robert Heinlein, Ray
Bradbury (in my opinion the finest short story author
ever), Harlan Ellison, Stanislaw Lem, and a host of
other fine science fiction authors? In my opinion,
sci-fi has been some of the best literature I've ever
read; however in the world of academia these authors
are not considered "legitimate," and thus are rarely
taught in classes and therefore rarely come up in quiz
bowl unless the question writer has a particular
fondness for them.
