Re: IL Novice 2001 (decorum)

I think Sean's referring to the game at
Rollapalooza (Illinois C vs. Wash U A) in which I was talking
to a teammate during a bonus part, and Jason Paik
told me to shut up (as he couldn't hear). That made
sense to me, and after the round I apologized to him
and your team.

If you don't like what I'm
doing during a round, just approach me about it instead
of complaining to the rest of the Quiz Bowl circuit.
As a rule, I'm a pretty nice guy, and I'll usually
stop whatever it is that may be bothering you. While
some may not be respectful enough to do this, I've
usually found that speaking with someone privately is a
good way of resolving the issue.

Don't get me
wrong: I'm not saying that recent criticism of my
behavior wasn't justified, but simply questioning the
manner in which it was displayed. I'd also like to thank
Susan of Chicago for saying what needed to be
said.
