I agree with your reasoning on why there are more
questions on other social scientists, as opposed to
historians. The question is whether we should attempt to add
any questions about historians. Before anyone starts
calling me Deb Fuller, I am not saying the history
distribution itself should go up, and the number of historian
q's should be perhaps 1/1 per tournament.
In
response to the other message, Pelikan certainly deserves
consideration, as do several on-the-edge folks I had thought of,
Fitz Brundage, Percy Schramm, Emilia Viotti da Costa,
Tsuyoshi Hasegawa, etc. I don't think any of these are
gettable as toss-ups.
