TRASH/trash is different. The best trash player
is the best in his/her own right, as is the best
academic player. Which distinction is more valuable is
only up to the person that it concerns and what they
consider valuable. If you must consider both together, I'm
thinking it would be hard to top Dwight Kidder for
proficiency in both.
Without adding much to the best
players list, as my qb history is a bit rusty, I ask
another question:
What people have contributed the
most to the game of quiz bowl?
Some thoughts of
mine include the founders of NAQT, ACF, TRASH, Carol
Guthrie, Charlie Steinhice etc.
