TrashMasters 2001: brief results

Congratulations to Law and Order: Intellectual
Property Unit, Starring Chip Beall (Braig Barker, Mike
Burger, Dwight Kidder, Kenny Peskin) for winning a very
competitive TrashMasters 2001. They did it the hard way,
finishing second in their bracket with two losses and (in
both the semis and the finals) having to beat a team
with a better record in a full round *and* a 20-tossup
shootout. It also bears note that The Streak has ended:
Dwight Kidder is on the winning team after *six straight
years* on the 2nd place team. [How long was that streak?
To give you an idea, the first of those losses was
when I was *playing* in TrashMasters.)
 Second
place goes to Murfreesboro Geek Squad (a last-minute
free agent conglomeration of Dennis Thibodeaux, Matt
Levine, Adam Fine, and Samer Ismail.] Third was the Alan
Smithee Project [Tim Young, Rick Grimes, James Dinan, and
Dave Vacca]; fourth was Life as a Gerbil [Greg
Sorenson, Mark Coen, Chris Rosenberg, Shawn Deveau.]

Congratulations also to new K-Tell Hellion Tim Young, who
inherits the K-Tel Hell championship belt from Chris
Hendry and preserves the no-repeat-champions history of
the game.
Thanks, everyone; a good time was had
by all, espcially me. Full results, individual
honors, and some really funny wrong answers will follow
Monday night.
