Update, DePauw Trash Tournament,3/2/2001

Hello all, this is James McQuiston representing
DePauw University, and was just composing this post to
remind all that the deadline is rapidly approaching for
the $20 discount. This discount is for having a
packet of one's in before December 26th. Also, I would
like an update on the status of all the teams coming,
such as number of teams, or even if the teams are
still interested.

This deadline does NOT mean
that we are not allowing teams to register at a later
date. In fact, registration is still open, and we would
love to have as many teams as possible to make this
tournament a memorable one. If any other teams, master or
undergrad, would like to take part in this 1st annual DePauw
tournament, we would definitely love to have you at our
scenic Greencastle campus.

Finally, remember for
those past a 300-mile radius of DePauw University, a
$25 dollar reduction can be received if I am e-mailed
back. Hopefully, I will see all of you at the
tournament, and please e-mail me, at jmcquiston_at_... if
any of you all have questions about this tournament.

The format of the tournament is as so:

The
DePauw trash tournament will be on March 2nd, 2002. The
fee will be $100, but discounts will be given for
buzzer systems (-$5), moderators (-$10), and the
deadlines are: December 26 for a (-$20) deduction, January
31 for a (-$10) deduction and a (+$2)/day fee after
February 15th. Also, if anyone has to drive more then 300
miles, contact me in advance for a $25 reduction on the
fee. If any of you all are interested, e-mail me at
jmcquiston_at_..., call me at (765) 658-5513, or message me the
following ways: AIM:EnderJam, Yahoo Mess:Drakulon222, or
ICQ:#4083257. The tournament will be decided by the number of
teams interested, but should follow the round-robin
format with a tournament double-elimination at the end.
This tournament has been okayed by the DePauw team, if
any of you were wondering, and I am having some very
talented helpers for this tournament and want it to go off
without a hitch.

Sports TU's shall each deal with different sports, while
Sports Bonii may focus all 30 points on one or more
sports.

The "choice of above" topics shall contain no less

Each of the divisions have specifics listed for ease.
However, questions along that line which properly fit in
with the topic will also be accepted.

Bonii shall be limited to 2 per packet, and biography

Three of the final
questions will be used as the tiebreaker, with the
remaining two being used in place of repetitive questions.
This makes the effective TU's/boni asked on a normal

circumstances. The questions should each deal with a different
topic located in the above section, in order to not
give unfair advantages.
