The Maryland Academic Quiz Team is pleased to announce the 5th annual David Scott Hamilton Invitational Tournament to be held on Saturday, March 9, 2002 in the Armory Building of the the University of Maryland - College Park campus. This is a novice tournament open to players in their first and second years of quiz bowl play. It will be untimed, and feature 20 tossups and 20 bonuses in each round. Base fee: $80 Each additional team: $10 discount Working buzzers: $10 discount for each Travel: $10 discount per school for every 300 miles Parking: free on weekends! Minimum fee per team: $50 Packet fees: Packet in by 11:59pm, February 10, 2002: $20 discount Packet in by 11:59pm, February 13, 2002: $15 discount Packet in by 11:59pm, February 17, 2002: $10 discount Packet in by 11:59pm, February 20, 2002: $5 discount Packet in by 11:59pm, February 24, 2002: No penalty Packet received after February 24, 2002: Penalty of $10 per day No packet, with approval from TD: +$20.
